2017 Celebration of Teaching Award Recipients
The campus community is invited to nominate individuals to be recognized for excellence in undergraduate teaching at the 24th Annual Celebration of Teaching. This event is sponsored by the Academic Senate Council on Teaching, Learning, & Student Experience (CTLSE) and the Vice Provost for Teaching & Learning, and is hosted by the Center for Engaged Instruction (CEI).
The Celebration of Teaching will take place on:

University Student Center, Doheny Beach A&B.

Recipients of the following awards are competitively selected from campus-wide nominations by the members of the Academic Council on Teaching, Learning, and Student Experience, as well as by those sponsoring the various awards.
Professor of the Year: Renee Link (Chemistry)
Lecturers of the Year: Maryse Mijalski (European Languages & Studies) & Ray Klefstad (Computer Science)
TA Instructional Development: Angela Jenks (Anthropology)
Innovation in Instructional Technology: Brad Hughes (Ecology & Evolutionary Biology)
Most Promising Future Faculty Members (Monetary): Christopher Stillwell (Education) & Leticia Garcia (Drama)
Most Promising Future Faculty Member (Honorary): Leah Zani (Anthropology)
Each Dean or Program Director, with nominations from faculty, selects one faculty member to be recognized as the Dean’s Honoree for Excellence in Undergraduate Education.
