New Assistant Director at CEI

We are excited to announce Dr. Danny Mann as the new Assistant Director for Graduate Student Instructional Development at the Center for Engaged Instruction. Danny earned his Ph.D. in Psychology with a concentration in Cognitive Neuroscience from UCI. In graduate school, he was awarded a Pedagogical Fellowship from the CEI, beginning his career in educational development with Teaching Assistants. After graduate school, he worked with faculty, post-docs and TAs as the CEI’s post-doctoral Instructional Development Associate. Danny then became the Assistant Director at the Center for Teaching & Scholarly Excellence at Suffolk University in Boston, MA. Danny has rejoined us at UCI to take the lead with graduate student and post-doc pedagogical training including the Pedagogical Fellowship Program, the TA Professional Development Program, the Certificate in Teaching Excellence Program, advanced pedagogy seminars, workshops, and consultation services.
